HOLIDAY SEASON: SCHOOL ASSESSMENT  +CONTEST 

“LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION” 

DRAMA/THEATRE + FBLA or DECA  [Corporate Media Initiative] 

South Atlanta HS is first of several schools picking up the Lights Camera Action Initiative. Since then over 5 HS & 6 MS in Atlanta, Dekalb, and Gwinnett are taking the Media Challenge this “Holiday Season”

TAES3.2 Developing scripts through improvisation and other theatrical methods a. Uses the playwriting process: pre-write/pre-play; prepare to write/plan dramatization; write; dramatize; reflect and edit; re-write/play; publish/perform.

OBJECTIVE:  In an effort to participate in “GIVING BACK” through the “ARTS”, SWBAT become a Producer of a small professional theatre company (create a group name) along with a 25% interest in CBS TV SHOWS Network Station.  

Assessment 1:  $25,000.00 investment to research your needs, interview with the professionals.

DESIGN AN AD AND CREATE A COMMERCIAL(SCRIPT) FOR NETWORK TELEVISION…SOCIAL MEDIA…YOUTUBE, 

 

that will market our Class Project in conjunction with … “TNDH 2017” http://www.toyzndahood.com/.

* This commercial must be an original engaging, high-performing commercial. This commercial will allow creativity in advertising for the “TNDH 2017″ programming partnering with:

“Creating Tomorrows Leaders” and “Cascade Research & Revitalization”.

This assignment/project is designed to not only be creative in the classroom but benefit the outside community, collecting toys through our Feeder: “Earn While You Learn” [Youth Giving 2 Youth]. Students within Drama/Theater + FBLA or DECA assigned classes will give back to its middle school, and elementary. This project and toys will be due on December 11th (A Day) and 12th (B Day) 2017!

COMMERCIAL RULES:

This commercial script must be an original….(Although toy props may be used during the commercial)

This commercial may not exceed 2 people in your group.

This commercial must be 60 seconds in length.

This commercial script must be typed/printed on oversized cue card.

You must interview or attend a class session from the Project Director- Mr. Smith and Mr Twum

The winners of the commercial competition will receive PRIZES!

Pizza Lunch Party for participating classes.
